Corruptions of the Bahais of Akka – Part II

This article is the second in a series which has been compiled from the book “Kashful Heel” written by “Abdul Husain Aayati. He lived amongst the Bahais for 20 years and served them through these years. He was popularly known as “Awareh” which means the one who wandered about in love (of Bahaullah). After these years, he saw the corruptions of the Bahais first hand, renounced the Bahai Faith and finally reverted back to Islam. Thereafter he wrote the book “Kashful Heel” to reveal the true face and hypocrisy of the Bahais. The life history of Awareh is full of interesting events and episodes which outline the true face of the Bahais as revealed by an insider. (Click here to read part 1 of this article)
Bahaullah and his relatives instigated people against the government of Tabriz and tried to overthrow their government and lay the foundation of the new government and since Naseeruddeen Shah was busy in the activities of his government, they opposed him and ultimately he had to submit to their wishes with the condition that they would only preach their religion. They ate and lived lavishly under the pretext of teaching universal religion and peace. Wherever they could find anybody who was ready to listen to them, they used to preach against Iran. They killed a lot of children and women for to achieve their purpose.
They even tried to kill me (Aawareh) but since I was careful they could not harm me. They instigated the people against me. Mohammed Kashani was a good man and I had helped him to get the post of teacher in a madresa. In one of the meeting in Tehran, they said to him that it was easy to kill Aawarah due to which doctor Yunus Khan was angry and thought resigning Some men pointed out that they have even incited women to kill me (Aawareh). Infact, due to this I feared that I should not say whatever I know and hence whatever I am saying now is very little of what is in my knowledge.
It should be noted that historians have said and have written that Bahaullah had not permitted to kill Sayed Mohammed. In this way historians restrained themselves from writing the actual fact so as to save their lives whereas all the other Bahais have confirmed that Bahaullah had issued the tablet wherein he had said that it was obligatory to kill Sayed Mohammed. I, Aawarah, said that he himself saw one of the killers; Mohammed Ali Salmani and he narrated to him the reason of his imprisonment as follows. He said: When I was determined to kill the opponent of Bahaullah such as Syed Mohammed, I sought his permission for the same. Bahaullah said smiling, If I dont give permission what will you do? I said: Then Also I will kill him. He again said smiling, Are you not afraid of Allah? I said, there is no God other than you. Bahaullah was delighted to hear this and said to me, you are indeed the successful one!
Bahais considered the killing of the opponents of Bahaullah as rewardable. They justify their point by saying that Holy Prophet (pbuh) had also permitted his follower to do Jihad (Holy war) against his opponents for the progress of Islam. Was he not satisfied with the killing of so many people? In this way they fool the people. If they had little bit of understanding, they would have understood that Jihad is other than such type of corruptions which were perpetrated by Bahaullah, Abdul Baha and their followers. They did not even spare woman and children and used to kill them in order to achieve their purpose. Moreover, they testified the correctness of the murder of Syed Mohammed and others who were killed along with him. They criticized the Jihad (Holy war) and the battles of Islam and appreciated the order of Bahaullah for Jihad (Holy war) against his opponents and in this way considered such type of killing as the best way of achieving the satisfaction of Bahaullah.
What a surprise! Bahais could neither understand such type of nonsense nor could they understand the real meaning of Jihad (Holy war). They did not stick to one principle and were also not ashamed of it. They did not hesitate to take the life of anybody and did not consider it as a shameful act. Professor Browne writes at Pg No 75 of his book, “The first difference among Bahais is that Abbas Afandi hid a portion of the book named as Ehda, which was written by Bahaullah and his action was not liked by other Bahais.”
Its actual story is as follows: Nine days after the death of Bahaullah, Abbas Afandi brought the book, Ehda, in front of nine prominent people from among the Bahais and asked them to read it. As it was being read out, one of those present over there pointed out that a part of the book was missing. When they objected, Abbas Afandi told them that the time of its implementation had not been received and therefore that part had been skipped from it and afterward he gave that book to Majdud deen Afandi, the son of Mirza Moosa, who was the brother of Bahaullah and asked him not to read it except in front of the close relatives of Bahaullah and Abdul Baha.
It is disgraceful that Abbas Afandi had even permitted intercourse with daughter and with elder sister and with family members in his tablet! Professor Browne writes at Page 77 that Abbas Afandi said to the people of America that he was Esa and tried to instill this belief in Americans through his missionaries such as Mirza Abul Fazl, Ali Qali Khan Kilantar, Haji Abdul Karim, Haji Mirza Hasan Khurasani. He said in India that he was the promised Bahram and instilled this belief in India through his Indian missionaries such as Mirza Moharram who left their belief later on and Bahais themselves had condemned him for his sins and his belief and likewise Mirza Mahmood Zarqani was also a Indian missionaries. Both of these missionaries have died. This is the second differences among the Bahais as Bahaullah had said that no prophet or Imam would appear till 1,000 years would not pass away.
The third differences among the Bahais is that Bahaullah had said that there would exist no discord among the Bahai where as Abbas Afandi was the main person who used to sow the seed of disagreement among the Bahais. He followed the policy of “divide and rule”.
When the disputes among the Bahais were at its peak (which were actually stirred up by Abbas Affandi himself), he used to issue a tablet regarding it where in he would express his sadness and grievances about it and his followers used to believe in it.
Professor Browne writes at page no 85 as follows, Abbas Afandi deprived his brothers and sisters from the inheritance of his father. He further writes that after 6 years of Bahaullah’s death, Ziyaullah ie the brother of Abbas Afandi fell ill and therefore he went from Akka to Haifa for recreation but his illness increased further. Abbas Afandi did not visit him until his death was certain. On 14 Jamad-us-Sani, 1316 AH Abbas Afandi visited him for a few minutes and then went away immediately. Infact he came for two reasons. One of it was that he was happy to see his brother dying as he had expressed his joy over it in front of his followers earlier and another reason was to show off his good conduct with his brother. He was not present in the burial ceremony of his brother. He neither permitted his family members nor his followers to attend the burial ceremony of his brother and none of them were present there.
Professor writes at page no 86: Parents and brothers of the wife of Ziyaullah were the followers of Abdul Baha. Therefore after the death of Ziyaullah, Abbas Afandi ie Abdul Baha called them and asked them to give him the wife of Ziyaullah but the wife of Ziyaullah was having the belief of her husband. Abbas Afandi sent her parents to her so as to just have a meeting with him but when she came to meet him, he caught hold of her and dragged her towards a place which they had fixed for such type of work and the wife of Abbas Afandi was also present at that time and he even called some of his followers for help who were even not Mahram for the wife of Ziyaullah and she was calling for help. Some other people who got wind of the situation reached there and saved her from the clutches of Abdul Baha and his followers. When Abbas Afandi (Abdul Baha) was not successful in his efforts, he asked his followers to falsify this event. He even ordered Haji Mirza Hasan Khurasani who stayed at Egypt (Misr) to falsify this incident.
