Indonesia delivers setback to Bahais…

Baha’is have deceived Indonesian government times and again. During the last ten years The Ministry of Religious Affairs, over and again informed the Baha’is not to teach people who already have their own religion and were informed about the implication of violating this established government rules (imprisonment). The Baha’is betrayed the trust of the Indonesian Government and kept their secret activities of preaching and conversion.

In 2010 two Baha’is – Mr. Syahroni and Mr. Iwan Purwanto, who are imprisoned in East Lampung, were caught conducting Baha’i Children classes for children less than 12 years of age. After a fair trial these Baha’is were sentenced for imprisonment.

Recently the Baha’is propagated that the Indonesian government has recognized them and given them minority status. This is sheer lies and nothing else. As per confirmed reports, the Home Ministry in Indonesia has turned down the appeal of Baha’is for recognition of the Faith in that country.

Despite solid campaigning by Baha’is to influence the government machinery, in particular Ministry of Religious affairs, the Home Ministry has taken a tough stand.

Baha’is are notorious for espionage and conversion through deception. Several countries have banned the Baha’i Faith and many refuse to give it an official status.

Baha’i Faith has nurtured in Israel, and till today receives tremendous support from that country. Interestingly, Baha’is are not allowed to propagate in Israel. It is with this background, the Baha’is are viewed with suspicion.

The latest development in Indonesia is seen as a major set-back by the Baha’is, who had plans for spreading their tentacle to other neighboring countries. This development would also affect the decision making in several other countries, where Baha’is have made similar representation.

Who Can Justify These Linguisitc Mistakes of Bab and Bahaullah?

How Can Someone Who is Helpless in Learning Another Language but His Mother Tongue, Order Other People to Learn Many Languages?

The Bab and Bahaullah wrote many of their works in Arabic but since this wasn’t their mother tongue, their Arabic works have a fair amount of etymological and syntactical errors. We have showed in Chapter 4 some of the grammatical errors Bahaullah had made in the book of Iqan that were subsequently fixed. Since this topic is fairly advanced and only suitable for a special audience, we will only mention a few of the more obvious errors here that can be understood with little explanation and without delving into Arabic linguistics.

a- Using non-Arabic characters and words in Arabic sentences
Arabic and Farsi share almost the exact same alphabet. The only difference between them are four characters that exist in Farsi but not in Arabic: p, ch, g, zh. Interestingly enough, the Bab wrote in the Arabic Bayan:

If possible acquire all the writings of the Point (meaning the Bab) even if they are in printed form (not hand-written).
(Bab, Arabic Bayan, unit 9, chap. 10)

The Farsi word for print is chap. The characters ‘ch’ and ‘p’ used in this word do not exist in Arabic. The Bab used this Persian word with non-existent characters in an Arabic sentence. This is while the Arabic word for printing is tab`, which he could have been easily used!

A similar fallacy can be seen in the works of Bahaullah. In a tablet addressed to Pope Pius IX he says:
O Pope! Rend the veils asunder. He Who is the Lord of Lords is come overshadowed with clouds, and the decree hath been fulfilled by God.
(Bahaullah, The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 54-55)

The Farsi word for Pope is Pap. The Arabic word is al-Baba. Bahaullah has used the Farsi word with non-existent Arabic characters in the Arabic sentence. Here is an image of what he has written:

The errors in these works were so obvious that the Bab decided to justify them in one of his writings:
Finding errors in diacritics (‘irab), recitation (qira’at), and linguistics of the Arabic [works] is invalid, because the linguistic laws are derived from these verses and not (the opposite) where the verses are based on these (laws). There is no doubt that the owner of these verses (meaning himself) has denied having any knowledge about these (linguistic) laws.

What the Bab is saying here boils down to this: Any mistakes you find in my words and any inconsistencies with the Arabic language are due to your own ignorance. From now own, Arabic language laws and linguistics must be updated to become in conformity with my words!

As we mentioned earlier, Bahaullah had made the exact same justification when he was questioned about the errors in his writings and the writings of the Bab:
Say, oh you ignorant man; look at the words of God using His Eyes so that you may realize they are free of the allusions and the grammatical conventions of the people for He possesses the knowledge of the worlds. Say, if the words of God were revealed based on your grammatical conventions and (the laws) that are with you, then they would be like your words, oh group of people who are veiled (from the truth).
(Bahaullah, Majmu`iy-i alwah-i mubarak-ih, p. 71)

You and your kind have said that the words of the Great Bab and the Most Complete Remembrance are wrong and not in conformance with the grammatical conventions of the people. You still haven’t understood that the divine revealed words are the yardstick for all and what is lower than it cannot be a yardstick. Every grammatical convention that is not in accordance with the divine verses has no credibility.
(Bahaullah, Majmu`iy-i alwah-i mubarak-ih, p. 78)

These words are senseless. According to Bahaullah the criterion for the truth is he and only he. Reason, knowledge, language and everything imaginable are to be measured by his words even though his words are unscientific, illogical, unreasonable, and in many cases simply wrong. He uses similar reasoning in the Aqdas:

Say: O leaders of religion! (In the Arabic version of the Aqdas, the words used are ya ma`shar al-`ulama which translates to “O group of scholars.” This has been translated to “O leaders of religion,” in the official Bahai version) Weigh not the Book of God with such standards and sciences as are current amongst you, for the Book itself is the unerring Balance established amongst men. In this most perfect Balance whatsoever the peoples and kindreds of the earth possess must be weighed, while the measure of its weight should be tested according to its own standard, did ye but know it.
(Bahaullah, The Kitabi Aqdas, p. 56)

b- Using Meaningless Arabic Words and Phrases
The use of meaningless words and Arabic phrases is especially apparent in the works of the Bab. For instance the Bab says:

The water of life (semen) is pure and you have been created from it. You must taltufanna [!] your bodies from it so that you may have great pleasure.
(The Bab, Arabic Bayan, unit 5, chap. 15)

The underlined word is totally meaningless in this context and does not make sense. We will not refer to any more examples of this kind. We will simply mention a quote from Professor John Walbridge of Indiana University:

The Aqdas is written in a lofty and austere Arabic with little rhetorical ornamentation, a style somewhat similar to that of the Qur’an. As is usual in Bahaullah’s Arabic, there are some deviations from Arabic norms reflecting Persian usage. There are occasional grammatical innovations but many fewer than in the Arabic writings of the Bab.

Professor Walbridge is clearly stating the works of the Bab have even more mistakes in them than the works of Bahaullah. He solves the problem of the errors in the writings of these figures by stating these errors are simply innovations or deviations from Arabic norms. Is it really that hard to see that these obvious mistakes were made because neither the Bab nor Bahaullah had sufficient knowledge about the Arabic language?

How “cultish” is the Bahai Faith?

For High Control Groups, I’ll just go down this checklist found here. To be fair, in my opinion, most of these items would to one degree or another be applicable to any major Christian denomination.

The group is focused on a living leader to whom members seem to display excessively zealous, unquestioning commitment.

The Universal House of Justice is collectively infallible in religious matters.

The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.

Yes, I would say this is the raison d’être of the Bahá’í Faith, to bring in new members in order to establish the World Order.

The group is preoccupied with making money.

No, I would not say there is a preoccupation with a profit motive.

Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.

Yes, many prominent Bahá’ís have resigned or been declated Covenant-breakers for no other reason than expressing opinions in variance to the Administrative Order. They include Juan Cole, Ehsan Yarshater, Denis MacEoin, Abbas Amanat, Allison Marshall and numerous others. The members of the Administrative Order actively monitored internet forums for dissent.

Mind-numbing techniques (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, debilitating work routines) are used to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).

I would say no.

The leadership dictates sometimes in great detail how members should think, act, and feel (for example: members must get permission from leaders to date, change jobs, get married; leaders may prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, how to discipline children, and so forth).

The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s), and members (for example: the leader is considered the Messiah or an avatar; the group and/or the leader has a special mission to save humanity).

Was the land for the first Baha’i Temple purchased with Opium money?

Yes, the land was purchased with the money of Opium. Not only Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli but even Mirza Aqa Taryaki and Mirza Ali Taryaki were Baha’i Opium Traders. Here are some details regarding the Opium money which was used in the Baha’i Temple.

Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli

Born in 1824, he was the oldest son of the Khal Akbar. He was a successful, wealthy merchant who extended the family’s trading links to China. He lived there for some time, having his home and office in Hong Kong and a warehouse in Shanghai. Due to economic depression in Fars and family bankruptcy, Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli went to China for 10 years. There, he became the main contact for the opium trade of the merchants of Isfahan, Yazd, and Fars. He has also visited India often.

While on pilgrimage to Mecca in 1859, Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli, his brother Haji Mirza Muhammad-Taqi, and his cousin Haji Siyyid Mihdi visited Bahaʾu’llah in Baghdad, the first of the Afnans to do so. It appears that they became believers at this time. In 1887, Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli returned from seven years in Hong Kong and visited Bahaʾuʾllah in ʿAkka. At Bahaʾuʾllah’s request, he went to Russia, where he bought several parcels of land in ʿIshqabad and the nearby town of Firuzih. One parcel, named Aʿzam, was to serve as the site for the Mashriquʾl-Adhkar of the new Bahaʾi community in ʿIshqabad. The others were to be endowments providing income to support it.

When Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli died in Bombay in 1896, the Muslims refused to allow his body to be buried there, threatening to burn it. His body was brought to Karachi and then to Bushihr, where the Iranians would not let it land. Eventually, and after an enormous ordeal, it was buried at Ctesiphon, near Baghdad. In May 1959, as one of the objectives of the Ten Year Crusade, it was re-interred in the Bahaʾi cemetery in Baghdad. On Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli’s passing, ʿAbduʾl-Baha revealed several Tablets extolling his virtues and composed two Tablets of Visitation.

Haji Mirza Muhammad-ʿAli was married to a maternal cousin, who was a daughter of Haji ʿAbduʾl-Husayn, a renowned Shirazi merchant and a brother of Haji Muhammad Khalili. The two brothers were not believers.

Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal: Was He God or Satan?!

Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal was Bahaullah’s half-brother and the executor of the Bab’s will. He was regarded as the successor to the Bab until Bahaullah succeeded in sending him to the sidelines and taking over the affairs of many of the followers of the Bab. He is greatly hated by Baha’is and regarded as one their greatest enemies. According to the famous Baha’i scholar Fazil Mazandarani in his book Asrar al-Athar (click to download, it is also written as Asraru’l-Athar) this is how Bahaullah referred to his brother Subhe Azal:

“When Mirza Yahya Azal started opposing the works, deeds, and words of his esteemed brother (Bahaullah) in Edirne . . . he dropped down from his [high] stature and the rank of union and agreement [that he had with Bahaullah] and was gradually – in the tablets, works, and revelations [from Bahaullah] – referred to with codes, references, and names such as the polytheist, the calf, the scarab (dung beetle), the tyrant, the Satan, the devil, the foul swamp, the buzzing of a fly, and similar names.” (Fazil Mazandarani, Asrar al-Athar, vol. 5, pp. 345-346.)

Bahaullah’s followers also used these titles to refer to Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal, for instance Professor Edward Browne cites a letter sent to him by a woman who was proselytized in America by Dr. Ibrahim Kheiralla where she states:

“Mirza Yahya is scarcely spoken of, but when he is mentioned he is called Satan.” (E.G. Browne, Materials for the Study of the Babi Religion, p. 117)

Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal

What most Baha’is don’t know or will not tell you is that according to the Bab, Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal, was God. This is how the Bab’s will to Subhe Azal starts:

“Name of Azal, testify that there is no God but I, the dearest beloved. Then testify that there is no God but you, the victorious and permanent.” (Source: Will of The Bab)

First the Bab states very explicitly that he is God (not a messenger from God or a manifestation of God, but God himself), then he tells Subhe Azal that he too is God and should testify to this. These statements being illogical and meaningless aside, according to the Bab Mirza Yahya Subhe Azal is God and according to Baha’ullah he is the Satan and devil! Bahaullah also claims he is the one that the Bab had prophesized about. Go figure…

A.Wrong Bahai Census claimed by Bahai Adminstration

Shalom Scott in one of his observation said that,  “During my time as a Baha’i, I saw potential converts lied to by Baha’is regarding the membership of the Faith. The Baha’is, especially the Baha’i leadership, have always grossly inflated the ‘official’ numbers in order to present an inaccurate picture to the world (as well as to individuals considering conversion) and to make the Faith seem much more successful and influential than it really is.

A CHARACTERISTIC of the Baha’i administration is dishonesty in dealing with their census. This trickery takes place sometimes in the form of absolute exaggeration of numbers and at other times in the form of the suppression and concealment of facts; at times through the omission or perversion of essential facts or their presentation (rather misrepresentation) in such a manner so as to falsify actual data. to convey to the world that Baha’i Faith is very well accepted by the masses.”Regarding their numbers, the Baha’is have indulged in gross exaggeration. Ask Baha’is about their numbers and “Millions” is the usual figure claimed by them. The Baha’i census claims that there are 6 to 7.2 million adherents of the Faith in the world which is nothing but a blatant LIE.

Professor Juan Cole of the University of Michigan commented in April 2001 that, since 1968, 50% of the people who entered the bahai faith have left it. According to him, the usual figure for most Christian denominations is approximately 80% retention, meaning about only 20% decide to leave once they become a member. See Professor Cole’s comment below that even 5 million Baha’is worldwide is exaggerated by the Baha’i administration.

50% is truly a remarkably high number and reveals emphatically that something is indeed wrong about the atmosphere within the bahai faith. Often the new adherent quickly comes to realize someting is wrong behind the facade of love and brotherhood.

The FULL TEXT of the New Mexico lawsuit reveals what many of the problems are that are driving sensitive and thoughtful people out of the bahai faith in droves.

Juan Cole has also stated that according to the official census figures of India there are approximately only 5,000 bahais that they were able to find in the country compare with the millions claimed by the Bahai Administration, a fact worth lingering on….

The Official consecutive Government record shows decreasing Baha’i population and not the fastest growing religion as claimed by Baha’i Administration.

Usually the Governments where the population of a religious sect is insignificant they take them into ‘Others” . The cunning Baha’is make use of this unmentioned Baha’i population and write for that country number which is massive exaggeration hoping that nobody will go deep into the matter.

Thanks to Internet that the Baha’is lies are getting exposed. The various governments are coming out with exact Baha’i numbers which is just a fraction of what the Baha’i Administration claims. Moreover if someone compares the two consecutive census of a country he will find that the Baha’i numbers have actually decreased whereas all other Faiths have increased. This is well seen in the census of United States, India and New Zealand.

What should be done?

It is a duty of every sincere Baha’i to write to Universal House of Justice and ask them why there is gross exaggeration in the Baha’i population in every country? What aim of the Baha’i Faith is served by these manipulated Baha’i figures?

Why there is decreasing trend of Baha’i numbers in various countries? Who is responsible for such deceit?  How Baha’i Faith is the fastest growing Religion?

If Baha’i Faith is amongst the revealed Faith then why the Baha’i Administration is so keenly and cleverly  indulging in propagating wrong figures.

Are we supposed to believe that Baha’i Faith is an NGO off course the most comfortable NGO which has no relation with divinity and as other NGOs exaggerate their numbers, we also do?

Please await the answer and the moment you hear from them “Forget about these government reports” immediately understand that the Persian hands are working behind it the Mohajer, Rezavi, and Jawaheri etc. The true followers of Rehmatullah Mohajar.

The Danger of Bahaism in Qatar – البهـائية طائفة خطرة موجــوده في قطـر

Recently Haifan Baha’is deceived Dr. ‘Abdu’l-Hamid Al-Ansari, (a former dean in Islamic studies and law at the University of Qatar) by presenting him the case of fake Ayatollah Masoumi Tehrani of Iran and then taking Baha’i favoring statements from him and publicizing them.

The Bahá’í Religion in Qatar has its origins in the late 1940s when a number of Bahá’í families settled in this beautiful land with the purpose of establishing a branch of this ‘NWO cult’.  They worked deceptively with the locals and fooled the Qataris with the feel-good, rosy slogans of Equality, Brotherhood and Betterment of World.  Third and fourth generations of these early Bahá’ís (mostly Iranians) along with some foreigners (from around 20 different countries) are still living and working in this land and carrying out their deceptive conversion activities.

The Bahá’ís portray their cult as a world religion, with millions (???) of followers from all races, cultures and social backgrounds whose goal is the recognition of the Unity of Mankind!!!  Bahá’ís spread their cult through deceptive techniques exposed on regular basis by Ex-Bahá’ís. Their slogans like… “achieving world unity through actively contributing to the betterment of the world and advancement of civilization” is very famous and now-a-days everyone is aware of this type of rosy slogans. Just listen to Bahá’í Counselor Gloria Javed and read the writings of Bahá’í author Moojan Momen on how they convert innocent people under the disguise of Moral Activities.

The Bahá’í International Community is also registered with the United Nations as an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with affiliates in more than 180 countries and is highly influential in the international arena.  It has special consultative status with many UN bodies and for this reason it gets easy recognition in different countries. It also receives enough support from western imperialist countries.

Over the years, Apparently, the Bahá’ís in Qatar have demonstrated obedience to the government. Mostly these Bahá’ís are Iranians and have managed to convert many local Qataris using their beautiful slogans and techniques of conversion taught to them by their Supreme Bodies in Israel. For instance read the wordings of UHJ that says it has succeeded in establishing a Pattern of “Bahá’í Life” with the help of these “Moral and Spiritual Bahá’í Programs” directed at various countries.

Over the course of three successive epochs now, the Bahá’í community has laboured assiduously within the framework of the global Plans issued by the House of Justice and has succeeded in establishing a pattern of Bahá’í life that promotes the spiritual development of the individual and channels the collective energies of its members towards the spiritual revival of society.

Although these programs of Conversion are going on worldwide but the success achieved is very little. Their agendas have been exposed worldwide and they have been put under strict observation by various governments including Israel, India, Iraq, Iran, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia (here they are strictly told not to teach Muslims), Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt and many other countries.

Recently a small article appeared in their newsletter that states : “A workshop for youth was held at a winter school in Doha. Deepening (this is done to make new believers strong) was also held for the communities of Umm Salal and Rayyan (Bahá’ís are also active in Al-Khour). Some writings of UHJ were read and distributed to those attending and ‘12 Lessons’, a course on how to teach and convert Qatari people, was translated into Arabic.

I hope the Government of Qatar is also keeping a watchful eye on these cultists, as they have transferred millions of dollars through various channels to Israel. In September 2011 the Bahá’ís of Qatar sent 100,000 dollars to Israel under the pretext of various Bahá’í funds. This amount was given to Bahá’í Counsellor Nadera Fikri, a Jordanian, who has been appointed as an in-charge for Qatar by the Supreme Body UHJ.

Babis, Baha’is and the British Deep State

In the early 19th century, the strategic location of the Middle East, sitting directly between the British Empire and her colony India, made the deep state of the British Empire focus their attention on the Middle East. Securing and obtaining the control of the routes to her colony with the hopes of establishing new colonial areas in the process, became a veritable obsession for it.

However, it wasn’t only Ottoman Empire that became a target in the process due to her key territories like Egypt, Suez, Palestine, Iraq and Basra. Iran also had a very highly strategic position in the region.

As a part of its plan to secure the control of the region, British government at the time put into action what the historians now call the ‘the Great Game’ between 1830-1895 against the Russian Empire, which it considered as one of its biggest rivals to her colonial order in India.

The game was based on the idea of turning the Ottoman Empire, Iran and the Emirate of Bukhara into buffer states to stop the southward advance of Russia. This way, it had hoped, it could stop Russia from having land access to India and preventing it from gaining ports in the Persian Gulf or Indian Ocean, which could pose a treat to the sea trade routes of the British.

What is the aim of all Bahai activities?

The achievement of this unity is Bahá’u’lláh’s declared mission and the aim of all Bahá’í activity. Its outline and structure are indicated in the following passage from the writings of Shoghi Effendi, great-grandson of Bahá’u’lláh and Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith:

The unity of the human race (converting everyone to Baha’ism), as envisaged by Bahá’u’lláh, implies the establishment of a world commonwealth (Baha’i Superstate) in which all nations, races, creeds and classes are closely and permanently united, and in which the autonomy of its state members and personal freedom and initiative of the individuals that compose them are definitely and completely safeguarded. This commonwealth must, as far as we can visualize it, consist of a world legislature, whose members will, as the trustees of the whole of mankind, ultimately control the entire resources of all the component nations, and will enact such laws as shall be required to regulate the life, satisfy the needs and adjust the relationships of all races and peoples. A world (Baha’i) executive, backed by an international (Baha’i) Force, will carry out the decisions arrived at, and apply the laws enacted by, this world legislature, and will safeguard the organic unity of the whole (Baha’i) commonwealth. A world (Baha’i) tribunal will adjudicate and deliver its compulsory and final verdict in all and any disputes that may arise between the various elements constituting this universal system. A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole planet, freed from national hinderances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity. A world metropolis will act as the nerve centre of a world civilization, the focus towards which the unifying forces of life will converge and from which its energizing influences will radiate. A world language (Esperanto!!!) will either be invented or chosen from among the existing languages and will be taught in the schools of all the federated nations as an auxiliary to their mother tongue. A world script, a world literature, a uniform and universal system of currency, of weights and measures, will simplify and facilitate intercourse and understanding among the nations and races of mankind. In such a world society, science and religion, the two most potent forces in human life, will be reconciled, will co-operate, and will harmoniously develop. The press will, under such a system, while giving full scope to the expression of the diversified views and convictions of mankind, cease to be mischievously manipulated by vested interests, whether private or public, and will be liberated from the influence of contending governments and peoples (Baha’i Censorship is already an open secret!). The economic resources of the world will be organized, its sources of raw materials will be tapped and fully utilized, its markets will be co-ordinated and developed, and the distribution of its products will be equitably regulated.

A world federal system (i.e. Baha’i Superstate), ruling the whole earth and exercising unchallengeable authority (of UHJ) over its unimaginably vast resources, blending and embodying the ideals of both the East and the West, liberated from the curse of war and its miseries, and bent on the exploitation of all the available sources of energy on the surface of the planet, a system in which Force is made the servant of Justice, whose life is sustained by its universal recognition of one God (Baha’u’llah!?) and by its allegiance to one common Revelation (Baha’i) — such is the goal towards which humanity, impelled by the unifying forces of life, is moving.

How ‘Baha’i Diplomacy’ and ‘Baha’i Wisdom’ works ?

CONTACT WITH GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND OFFICIALS


Regarding Bahá’í Matters

The relationships between the Bahá’í community and the government are the responsibility of the elected institutions of the Faith. Local Spiritual Assemblies are responsible for Bahá’í contact with local government agencies and officials (city councils, mayors, etc.) and, where appropriate, with local representatives to the state legislature. The National Spiritual Assembly, through its Washington, D.C., Office of Public Affairs, is responsible for all Bahá’í contact with federal or state government agencies and officials (the president, the State Department, senators, congressional representatives, governors, state government agencies, etc.). Bahá’ís who wish to contact government agencies or officials on Bahá’í matters or to mention or discuss the Bahá’í Faith must first ask the appropriate Bahá’í institution for permission.

The National Spiritual Assembly occasionally requests that Local Spiritual Assemblies or individual Bahá’ís contact federal or state government officials to ask their assistance on a particular issue that the Bahá’ís have chosen to promote. In these instances, Bahá’ís should call or write their legislators on behalf of the Bahá’í Faith, being mindful to refrain from quoting the Bahá’í writings or using the opportunity to teach the Faith. Meeting with Government Officials Regarding Bahá’í Matters here may be times in meetings when local Bahá’ís will discuss the Faith in response to questions from a government official, but it is important to exercise caution to ensure that the official does not develop the impression that the Bahá’ís’ visit and proposals are only a means of teaching the Faith. Local Bahá’ís engaged in public affairs work will have to gauge each situation on its merits, determining what and how much information on the Faith to share in a given meeting. They will make these determinations with increasing ease as their experience grows.

Regarding Non-Bahá’í Matters

Of course, Bahá’ís can contact government representatives and express their views on non-Bahá’í matters as their consciences dictate, provided they do so as an individual and do not identify themselves as Bahá’ís.

Participation in Petitions and Letter Writing Campaigns

The believers are free as citizens to sign petitions or write letters to bring certain matters to the attention of the public and public officials. However, they should not identify themselves as Bahá’ís, unless encouraged to do so by a Bahá’í institution. The decision to participate in the myriad petitions and letter-writing campaigns in progress at any given time is largely left to the individual, to be made in accordance with his or her understanding of the teachings and the dictates of his or her conscience. However, if the friends have questions about particular issues or initiatives, they are encouraged to contact the appropriate institution for guidance — the Local Spiritual Assembly for local petitions and campaigns, and the National Spiritual Assembly’s Office of Public Affairs for national or international petitions and campaigns.
